Guiyang New World Volunteer Team actively delivered water to drought-hit area
In April 2010, Southwest China was struck by a severe drought, and Guiyang New World Volunteer Team launched the donation activity themed with “Love of New World, Care for Drought-Affected People”, calling on all employees and property owners to actively participate in the relief support to the affected area. On April 19, about 20 volunteers personally delivered such donations as books, computers, and 5,000 bottles of mineral water, and 20 barrels of purified water to Wantang Primary School of Zongdi Town and Dalang Primary School of Guizhou Province to relieve children’s crying need of water. Meanwhile, to improve students’ lodging conditions in Dalang Primary School, volunteers raised and donated RMB 2,000 Yuan to the school, hoping to do their part to help children in the drought-hit area.

“New World Volunteer Team” held the annual Nationwide Awarding Ceremony
On March 27, 2010, the 2010 Nationwide Awarding Ceremony of “New World Volunteer Team”, a New World China corporate volunteer organization, was held at Chengdu New World Riverside. Representatives of excellent volunteers from Shenyang, Beijing, Ji’nan, Wuhan, Chengdu, Guiyang, and Guangzhou, as well as over 100 members of Chengdu New World Volunteer Team attended the ceremony and exchanged their experience. At the ceremony, Mr. Huang SiYuan, Director of New World China Land Chengdu, presented certificates and cups to 20 national excellent volunteers. After the ceremony, the awarded volunteers visited Tumen Village Primary School and Daba Village Primary School in Tongjiang County, Bazhong City of Sichuan Province, building libraries of love for the schools, teaching children painting and singing, and bringing stationery and sports articles to children.

Chengdu New World Volunteer Team visited Bazhong Village Primary School
From January 16 to 17, 2010, the 10 volunteers of Chengdu New World Volunteer Team went to Huaxi Town, Tongjiang County, Bazhong City of Sichuan Province, bringing winter articles, stationary supplies, and love cards to five village primary schools in Huaxi Town. For preparing such Bazhong trip, the Team actively donated cotton clothes for the schools as early as in December 2009, and hundreds of winter articles had been received till January 15.
